The Sandhill Feedlot is located just 12 miles north of Winnemucca, the county seat of Humboldt County. With a population of 7,396, Winnemucca boasts 5 major casinos, 21 hotels/motels, 31 dining establishments, 12 banking service providers, 18 churches of various faiths, postal service, UPS and FedEx offices, and a Bureau of Land Management office.
