"The ranch is home to a herd of rocky mountain big horn sheep which is there almost year round. According to the fish and game, it is one of the only herds of big horns in the state that resides primarily on private ground. The streams run year round and have both rainbow and German brown trout, some up to 4-5 pounds. The ranch has control of 3-5 miles of river frontage. It is also home to chucker, Hungarian partridges, sage grouse, coyotes, mountain lions, bobcats, beaver, ground squirrels, and rabbits. Antelope summer on the ranch, and deer and elk are close by and are on the ranch at times during the year. Deer winter on part on the ranch, and at times you can see 2-300 head in one herd. Sand hill cranes, Canadian geese, blue herons and a variety of ducks nest every summer on the meadows. Cottonwood creek, Canyon creek, Wildcat creek, and Salmon Falls creek all run through parts of the ranch.

The ranch house is a mostly log home reportedly built by the O'Neil's. It is, I think, about 3000 square ft. it is at least 5 bedrooms, 2 full baths, with a loft that is used as another bedroom, an office, another bedroom/ tack room, formal dining room. It has a separate building used as a commissary and there is a detached 2-car garage. The cook house is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a large kitchen/ dining area. It has a small shop and a bunk house - 3 bd. 1 bath that we have never used. It has a calving barn with indoor head catch and a concrete floor for pulling calves. and stalls for the pairs after they calve. It also has stanchions for milking 2-3 cows with concrete floors. It has a horse barn with a loft and tack room. The ranch also has a set of certified scales of shipping cattle.

The ranch has warm springs in almost every pasture on the meadows, which allows cattle to water all winter with out having to break ice.
